Salvation simply explained
Salvation is a divine gift from God. It rescues you from the permanent consequences of sin and grants you eternal life. This gift is not about what you can do for God, but rather about what God has already accomplished for you.
How does one receive salvation? Ephesians 2:8 explains, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God." Your salvation comes through faith in Jesus Christ's grace, acknowledging that it is not your actions, but His sacrifice—His death on the cross and resurrection—that saves you.
What steps must I take to be saved? According to Romans 10:9, "If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." To be saved, you need to turn from your sins, repent, and both believe and declare that Jesus is Lord. Salvation doesn't require you to earn it through deeds; it simply requires belief and confession.
